MFL thread
Multifilament polypropylene thread is produced in linear densities ranging from 300 to 4500 denier — this is a strong, durable, environmentally safe fiber, neutral to aggressive environments. Polypropylene multifilament threads are made from high-flow polypropylene granules by extrusion.
Manufacturing
Polypropylene threads are distinguished by increased strength, elasticity, and minimal volumetric mass. They do not undergo decay processes, do not change under the influence of chemicals, alkalis, and solvents, are resistant to abrasion and bending. Changes in humidity and temperature do not have a negative impact on the products made from polypropylene multifilament threads: the thread is non-hygroscopic, does not change under the influence of hot water and low temperatures (polypropylene products retain flexibility at -50°C).
Application
Multifilament thread is used for stitching polypropylene bags, making polypropylene webbing belts, ropes, straps, cords, twines, woven tapes, braided nets, for fabric manufacturing, making big-bags, for sewing shoes, bags, suitcases.
The advantages of the thread include:
- Resistance to external factors (temperature, humidity, etc.);
- Ability not to absorb water and other liquids;
- High resistance to bends and abrasion;
- High tearing indicators relative to weight and thickness;
- Environmental safety, as well as antibacterial properties;
- Low cost relative to alternatives.
