Machine Stretch Film

  • Stretch film is one of the most in-demand packaging materials. It has an extremely wide range of applications, suitable for packaging both food and industrial products. Manual handling or with machine equipment (pallet wrappers) is possible for process automation.

    Advantages of stretch film as a packaging material:

    • Provides reliable fixation of cargo during storage and transportation;
    • Resistant to punctures, tears, and temperature fluctuations;
    • Has high optical transparency;
    • Provides protection of the product from moisture, contaminants, and tampering.
  • Stretch Film for Machine Packaging

    • Films for machine packaging can be divided into three types depending on the purpose:

    • Semi-automatic.
    • Automatic.
    • High-speed automatic.
  • Film for Semi-Automatic Packaging
    • Stretch film for semi-automatic packaging is intended for use with semi-automatic type pallet wrappers.

    • In such equipment, pre-stretching or passive stretching of the film is possible.

    • In the latter case, it is provided by different speeds of film sheet delivery and platform rotation.

    • Films for semi-automatic use are produced in three series:

    • M or Machine - a strong film, designed for handling goods of all three categories. The film thickness varies from 17 to 35 microns, and the guaranteed pre-stretch rate is 150%.
    • UM or Ultra Machine - a thinner material, comparable in strength to the M series films. The film thickness varies from 12 to 15 microns, and the guaranteed pre-stretch rate is 120%. The film is suitable for packaging goods of categories A and B.
    • SM or Stiff Machine - a thin film (11-12 microns), distinguished by high stiffness (with a Stop-effect function), and retaining capability. It is intended for the transportation of goods of all three (ABC) categories. The guaranteed pre-stretch rate is 70%.
